Silky Stacker Blues
Beaded up some more Silky Stackers this week. My free Silky Stackers pattern is available by clicking HERE or on the photo below.
The Silky beads I used in these stacker bracelets are from RedPandaBeads.com. They are different colors on each side, which at first, I have to say, annoyed me, and then I realized that the color switch gives you some lovely options.
The top Stacker in the photo below uses Jet Azuro, which is black on one side and an electric blue on the other. The bottom stacker uses Lavender Valentine—bronze on one side and a light blue-lavender on the other. Exact beads used are linked below.
Beads used in the photo above:
Top
• About 200 size 11/0 seed beads: Miyuki #1457 Metallic Emerald/Dark Sapphire Miyuki Rocailles
• 42 SuperDuo beads: Jet
• 11 two-hole Czech Silky beads: Jet Azuro
Bottom
• About 200 size 11/0 seed beads: Miyuki #457 Bronze Miyuki Rocailles
• 42 SuperDuo beads: Chalk Blue Luster
• 11 two-hole Czech Silky beads: Lavender Valentine

Nexus Bracelet and Earrings
There’s another new 2-hole bead in town!
Czech “Silky” 2-hole beads are 6x6mm in size (similar to the CzechMates Tile beads) but the two parallel holes are on the diagonal, with a raised bevel on the top of each bead that runs opposite of this diagonal thread path.
The Nexus Bracelet is created by beading 7 or more separate motifs, which are then joined using seed beads and SuperDuo beads.
Single motifs make great Nexus Earrings:
The Nexus Bracelet and Earrings pattern is fully illustrated with detailed step-by-step instructions for both a bracelet and earrings. Just click on any picture for more details at AroundTheBeadingTable.com.
Linda Genaw has a list of online bead shops that sell Silky beads on her blog, Linda's Crafty Inspirations. Click HERE and scroll down to the end of the post for the list. She also has several free Silky patterns on her blog, including the Sophia Silky Bracelet (click HERE) and the Silky Deco Chain Bracelet (click HERE), both are truly gorgeous.
